The dancers wanted to product a product that looks different from other dance videos. It was a great time to explore our creativity.
The ask;
During the pandemic, the number performances being streamed online grew exponentially. More people were getting used to paying for online content, and artists were getting used to performing on camera without a live audience. A local business wanted to hold a DJ and dance event, so we were more than happy to be a part of the party.
The challenge;
The trickiest part was moving with the dancers. There were cables being run along the floor that connected to the central booth for the live stream. The cameraman had to figure out a how to move so that the dancers wouldn't trip on the cables. On top of that, there was only one chance to rehearse.
The solution;
With a live event, time is limited. Careful consideration of our space played a key role in getting the shots the client wanted. Being able to visualize our setup and logistics allowed the performers to move around as they pleased
The result;
We were able to capture a visceral experience for the client and their audience. The video will be able to help these dancers grow their ever expanding network and influence.
I'm always open to cooperation, so don't hesitate to send me your project details. Let's create something great together!
